The Untied States:
I would like ask the Senate President to call to order a special session to discuss the military aid request from The Mystical Land of Shadar of the The Roma Confederacy Region. The Federal Union of The Anean Tribes: At the request of my honourable counterpart, i call this meeting of the senate to order. The topic for discussion are the aide requests US mentioned above. The Untied States: Approximately two days ago, our regional delegate was contacted by The Mystical Land of Shadar. The smaller region he represents, The Roma Confederacy, has been formally declared war on by both The Confederacy and The Black Riders. They are seeking allies to help them in this struggle. According to Shadar, they are not on the offensive, but are only trying to hold that which they already own. They are requesting that we establish an embassy with them, formalize our relationship status, and, in the event that the two offensive groups attacking, provide defensive military aid if necessary. My proposition is that we begin exploring a diplomatic relationship with this region. Furthermore, as a good faith measure, we offer to provide military assistance in the near term future should they be attacked, however the stipulation is that in no way does New Republica wish to be the aggressor in this conflict. Our aid will be only for the purpose of Peace-Keeping and Defense. Thoughts? Also, I motion we extend the voting period on this proposal so as to allow input from all of the senators. The Democratic Republic of The Republic rome: The region is in stand-bye as ordered by me the Acting President of the region until the senate could convene and decide about it. The Federal Union of The Anean Tribes: It is my opinion that we formalize relations and thats it. We are at a complicated point at this time and i think it unwise that we get FORMALLY involved. However, i would not stop any volunteer nations from going to their aide. Ad per US's request voting will be extended to 24 hours or until all three members have voted. The Republic of DardoIllyria: We as a region should only be involved if the basic human rights are being violated or if a dictatorial force is trying to invade that region. The Federal Union of The Anean Tribes: I agree Dardo The Untied States: I share your concerns about involvement, I feel as though this small region would be a great ally in the future. I motion to call a vote on formalizing diplomatic relations with The Roma Confederacy. The formalization of relations would include making contact with the The Roma Confederacy, and building an embassy within their borders. Furthermore, it would entitle them to Ally status. The Federal Union of The Anean Tribes: I feel they have the potential, but we don't know enough about them to be certain yet. Until they're actually invaded i think we should steer clear. I do think an embassy should be established though. I say we vote in the embassy now. The Untied States: I concur. I vote aye on creation of an embassy. The Federal Union of The Anean Tribes: On the embassy i vote Aye as well. The Untied States: Moving on, I motion that we send a formal letter of friendship to The Roma Confederacy whereupon we describe our current diplomatic stance. Proposed correspondence: Greetings to our friends within The Roma Confederacy, We would like to extend to you the title of Ally out of friendship and admiration. We currently have an embassy constructed within your great region, and we intend to keep it open and ambassadors present. Unfortunately, at this time, we simply cannot allocate military resources to your region. Please, do not take this negatively. We will reevaluate this stance should you, indeed, being attacked by a foreign aggressor. We, at present, can offer you an ambassador to act as a mediator and those whom has sought war with you. We hope to have a fruitful relationship with you in the future, and we will work feverishly to keep our current diplomatic channels open. Please keep us apprised of your situation. All the best, Senate President Anean Tribes Senator DardoIllyria Senator Untied States 5

We do want some continuity in the government, something that the very short terms do not allow - unless we can figure out a way to rotate the senate seats coming up for election.

I was pulling numbers out of air. I don't really like the extremely long terms, but I also and not fully sold on incredibly short terms. At that rate, you will go through both senators and executive branch members extremely quickly.

Anean, I am very open to suggestions and revisions, and I merely am offering this for the good of New Republica. Therefore, I would never get upset about constructive criticism.

I find the notion of a direct democracy to be utterly abhorrent. A direct democracy will lead to further sensationalism and populism, which will then descend into mob rule. We need a republic. We just need to perfect our outline for the republic to create an efficient government that, while changes with elections, does not do so to such a great extent - vis a vis the entire government shifts around with every election.

I would disagree greatly with concentrating power in the hands of a very few. Absolute power corrupts, absolutely. Thus, I believe this Republic system works. We should, instead of throwing the baby out with the bath, attempt to make our current system more efficient.
This can be done with; *Increasing the number of senators. *Increasing nation interaction. *the Creation of a Ministry of Recruitment - with a Secretary appointed by the President, and confirmed by the senate. ----*The Staff of this ministry is employed at the discretion of the Secretary. *New Membership Guidelines and FAQs 11
